Good day, everyone.

I have a Horky and Dubick chassis I received in a purchase and I would like to get them repaired and refinished?

Any recommended options? I reached out to Dubick but I am not sure what they might be able to do and shipping would probably kill me. ;(

Thanks.

If you can get the steel parts that are broken it's very straightforward to do these yourself.

Cleaning the chassis, I would recommend using "Naval Jelly" and a stiff brush... possibly more than one time. I am having great results with that - it's for cleaning steel, removes bluing and rust. Repairing is as simple as desoldering the parts, making sure they're clean, then putting it all back together.

I have repaired a couple of eurosports previously, and had to do some creative replacement of the shaker keepers - not even sure if they call them that anymore. But mine are all for play and not raced. If you are really in need, I can do the work for you, but I am not a pro. this is a hobby. I just take pride in doing the refurbishments. (I did a lot during this pandemic).

IF it was mine, I'd send it to Pablo. He's refurbed a of couple of cars for me, and built a few more new cars, and all were way past my expectations.

Don't worry, he'll read the post. He once told me you can't even fart on this website without him knowing.  :shok:

Darren, he's also probably gone inland a ways to ride out hurricane Sally for a few days.

He's currently gone inland, and apparently has no internet at the moment.

Darren, I have zero experience with that type of chassis, sorry. Never owned one, never fixed one.

I'd go with mreibman

You can't go wrong with George Russell, he does this for me regularly.

He is a multi USRA National eurosport champion!
