My Pre Stage and Stage lights will not go out in both lanes.  I have tried cleaning them with no luck.   Any suggestions ?

Check the following settings in software:

in DragPro3000, go to Settings on the menu, and select "settings"

On the "Sensors" tab, make sure you have checkboxes checked for both Stage and Pre-stage (one for each of the lights)

On the "staging" tab, make sure you set it to "place car before stage beam"

These are the only settings in the software to check.

Beyond that, you can check the hardware separately. They're optical sensors, so you can use a piece of thin cardboard or thick paper to block it (or even a guide flag that's not on a car).

We ran into a similar issue when we first put in the updated software on a new computer... one of the software settings was incorrect and the staging behavior was wacky.

I am looking at my laptop for these settings, not at the actual raceway computer, so it is possible I am off on the one "staging" tab setting.

Sometimes you need to 'deep clean' the photo sensors. A Q-tip does not do it.  Take the sensor board out from under the track and CAREFULY pull the cover  up off of the leds and degrease it all.  Snap it back together and remount.  Yearly maintenance on Trakmate and TrikTrax systems.

I recently had the same problem with the top staging lights. Cleaning did not help but I was messing with the wire plug ins and they seemed a little loose, so I unplugged them both and spread the prongs just slightly so they made good contact in the plugs and it fixed them! Be careful, it doesn't take much!
