Just picked up a large lot of gears on ebay, mostly because there was a bunch of gears from a company I didn't know: GM Hobby Specialties Inc. I would tend to think this is model train stuff, with all the worm gears, from 1:10 to 1:40, but there were also some nice bevel gears, ranging from 1:1 to 4:1. Strangely enough, the solder-on gear shown here has a 1/8" hole, but the set screw version of this ratio has a 3/32" hole - and that seems much more adapted to the early rail or slot cars than trains! As for the 70 tooth spur gear, no idea! But it's also for a 3/32 shaft, so unlikely for a drag car...
Anybody ever hear of these guys?
