Hello folks!

I would like to know the dates of production of Tradeship differentials.

The goal is to know it it is "slotistically correct" (as my friend Don Siegel would say) to put one on a 1964 car.

Just in case several types were made, I shall post a picture of the very part I'm thinking of.

Many thanks in advance.

Here it is...

On Revell and Monogram chassis.

The Monogram ones are from 1966, with their drop arms, but I also have the former 1964 version which I may equip with this differential.

The Revell chassis are from 1964, unless mistaken.

Hi Jean-Michel,

I would guess they are no earlier than 1965, but haven't seen an ad that would date them - and this wasn't the kind of thing we saw in our local hobby shop! It was sold by Tradeship, so they're probably in a catalog somewhere, I'll take a look.

Slotistically speaking, the cars you show are more like 65-66, and they're your cars, so fit them with differentials if you want! Very much in the "spirit" of early experiments in slot racing...

Many thanks, Don!

And if I may: I would have the same question about Aristocraft or Ulrich front axles with independent rotating wheels.

I know that I'm in the wrong section, should be about axles, not gears...
