A hurried rescheduling, a track that's for sale, and a catastrophic global pandemic. None of these things stopped the Ohio Challenge Cup from bringing the show to Fremont's Fastraxxx and their famous "Bullring" '95 American Royal.
GT1 Am had five entrants, with track owner Chris Earnhardt claiming a win by a healthy 12 lap margin over Grant Sams. The Hippy returned to OCC racing with Craig Sharfenberg rounding out the Am podium by only two laps over Hollywood Joe Gerenscer, and newcomer Dave Mitchell struggled mechanically to close out the Am field.

GT1 Pro gave one of the tightest finishes in recent history as Ron Hershman took a narrow win in the ten racer field over Rob Voska, beating him out by only almost a panel. Eric Shirey held the last spot on the podium over Michigan Mafia leader Dave Decoster. Youngster Jeffrey Henes picked up a fifth place by a lap over Ron Vincek, while Jeff Henes took the seventh spot ahead of Brandon Barricello, while Brian Lear and Jeremy Wyant contended with mechanical issues to end their races.

Group 10 saw a lot of speed with Jeff Henes taking the TQ spot out of the twelve racers, but it was a familiar story as Eric Shirey claimed top honors by a lap over Ron Hershman. Rob Voska was only one lap back from them for the final podium spot, followed by a consistent Dave Decoster with another fourth. Jeremy Wyant had a better day in Group 10 with a fifth place finish over Ron Vincek, followed by Jeff Henes in seventh, Craig Sharfenberg in eighth, and Joe Gerenscer in ninth. Chris Earnhardt, Frankie Schaffier, and Dave Mitchell rounded out the field.

GTP was a solid field of thirteen, and Ron Hershman claimed the fastest time for TQ, but it would be Eric Shirey with his second win on the day. Jeremy Wyant would grab second over Hershman, with Dave Decoster once again in fourth. Jeff Henes took a fifth place over Brandon Barricello, followed by Brian Lear and Joe Gerenscer and Jeffrey Henes all only separated by panels and just one lap ahead of Rob Voska, with Chris Earnhardt, Grant Sam, and Dave Mitchell finishing out the day.

What can be said about the good folks at Fastraxxx who truly came through at this point in time to save this race date for the Ohio Challenge Cup. Many thanks to Chris Earnhardt and to
at North East for his co-operation during this challenging year. Congratulations to all of our racers as our season is just getting started!
