"and today, we're going to talk about slot car racing . . . . and Yes, it is still a thing!"

I enjoyed the video and was wondering which members frequent that raceway and if the father-daughter they are referring to in the video, are Slotblog members.

That would be very cool!

Enjoy!

Thank you.

I believe that King track used to be in Raytown Missouri and was about a mile from my mom's house. So when I would go back to visit her, I'd always take my controller and a few cars. Then one visit the track was closed and I heard the King went to Wichita. It's a really nice track but the orange one really caught my eye.

Nice to see so many people enjoying the raceway and the responsibility of everyone wearing masks and protecting their friends.     Two thumbs up.

I don't know what size following they have but the positive exposure should be great for the slot car world.

It's a really nice track but the orange one really caught my eye.

I recognize that orange track. It was built by Mike Leach from Newark, Ohio, and it's his interpretation of the Hillclimb design. The track was designed so the top straight would be bolted to a wall. Here's a pic from when it was in Newark:

I know he sold it to somebody in Colorado, and that was the last I heard of it. I'm glad to see its still around.

The Hilclimb in Wichita came from Jonesboro Arkansas. Being the exact same shape, maybe they got it from Colorado?
