"Hey guys, save the date, on March 13 in Quakertown, PA, at The Quakertown Farmer’s Market, Entrance 1, we will be running our second slot car show after a successful first one, from 9 AM-1 PM, with free admission! The market is indoors and heated! Doesn’t get much better then that! Six-foot dealer tables are going fast! They are $40 each, 2/$75, or 3/$100.

Message me with any questions and table orders. Going to be a great day and we will have the hand sanitizer, gloves, and masks ready! Thank you!"

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

I see there is a "Race Place Hobbies" in the Market.

Was this the place Lugnuts held the Nats in the' 90s?

No, that was someplace else.

But stop in and see the Raceplace store at stand #210 near exit #19. They have an American Black (or pinched king) plus and original Scorpion Buck track. R/C stuff and more. Like and follow them on Facebook at

All I can say is that they don't promote their slot car side very well. Slot cars are virtually not mentioned on their Facebook page and no pictures of the track.

It's kind of a low-key "local thing" where kids can have some fun when the parents go shopping. Original American black, the one with the banked "ess" curves (I always forget if that's the Regal or the Royal... LOL).

The Bucktrax is quite old... been there since the '90s. The owner (whose name escapes me) is a really nice guy, and used to frequent Fast Tracks.

Jim's business model is far from a typical slot car store. The place has been there 45 years or more so he must be doing something right. I remember racing/playing there as a pre-teen kid. In 2019 we went back to visit family and had the opportunity to have four generations racing on the track.

While the tracks are not competition ready, they have the qualities of nostalgia and 100% play time that is lost so often in the hobby.

As you should know, Slotblog tries to promote every aspect of the model car racing hobby, but with so little info available to harvest (I've given up on having the trackowners or racers actually providing that needed info), there's not much I can do to help.

Agreed. I often wonder about some of the posts I've read while verifying a slot shop.
