Manufacturer ?

I found this motor in my stash - does anybody know the manufacturer.

The crome looks factory made and there is a small arrow on the can end indicating the turning direction.
The armature is not balanced and does not look special with thin wire, but It has a good howl at 12volt

anybody has a clue ?

Very interesting, looks like a Igarachi Hemi 36D can with a later 36D EB and probably a 36D arm.

Very cool. Someone probably did it to use the more powerful magnets.

The can measures (in mm) h16,5 * w23,9 * l25,1 so it is a bit higher and longer than a 16D can

I could be wrong. It could be the smaller Hemi can. Pictures are hard to judge size.

Found this after some "Googling":
http://slotblog.net/...e-the-innocent/

So it seems like this is originally a REH created mix of a Igarashi Hemi (Mk.IV?) can and a tradeship endbell, that has been "modified" with 4 holes and press-in "rivets" (like on Mura motors etc) and an armature from a Cox or similar motor - a bit complicated, but so is life  :wacko2:  and thanks to PdL for actually solving this mystery 10 years ago, even before it became a mystery

I will now clean up the motor and see if I can find some decent use for it  :)

I thought of the endbell as more of an REH item, but maybe sourced from leftover Tradeship stock in the first place.

In any case, Tradeship also offered this as a factory rewind, for $9.99.

Yes, now that I look that is a REH as it does have the Tradeship EB (I was thinking it was like the one off a Cox NASCAR) and it has the REH pent roof endbell parts.
