Hi guys,

I seem to remember that the blog had a list of Thingies, drawn up by one of our members during the Thingies proxies, which I can't find now.

Any ideas?

Use the Slotblog search engine. Type in "thingies list" or "thingie list" or "thingy list".

The secret is to click on the GREEN button, then scroll down past the advertisements   :)

If that doesn't work for you, the guy to ask is Maximo  :sun_bespectacled:

That was the first thing I tried of course Pablo... just tried again with a couple variants, no dice. Thought I had bookmarked the page, but maybe the page isn't there anymore, or I just missed it.

Pretty sure it was Mike Zimmerman who came up with the list originally.

Sorry gents but I know nothing about where it went. I'm just too old to remember everything anymore.

Here is another idea, Don. Try Gene/ZR1. I know he has been extremely busy lately. But he may know the answer

Lucio,

I took your list and updated it. Check this out and see if there's anything to change or add.

It's a bit more complex than just a Thingies list, because there are also some show cars and prototypes in there (Batmobile, MPC Manta Ray, etc.), as well as some real race cars that are often mistaken for Thingies (like the BRE Samurai - just got shown some photos of the car in a race!)

I don't know that Auto Zoom, and one or two others.

Thanks,

Don

Don, how about the company that made several blow-molded bodies, such as the Taranchula.

That was Detail Models Bill; I'm not including other body manufacturers, but wanted to list Choti and Shinoda because they made only Thingies.

This was originally triggered by a French guy who has just gotten into vintage and wanted to know what was out there... so I wanted to mention the two big names in Thingie bodies...

The BRE Samurai was designed by Peter Brock and he even had a race team that used them.

Isaac - read my introduction to the list again... For Lancer, I only included Shinoda and Choti because they did nothing but Thingies; otherwise, the list is only for cars... (I left some of the cars in that were originally put in by Lucio, just because it seemed easier, and that's what's explained above).

The "Thunder" is listed David - is this another variant?

Aren't these more modern cars too?
