Unfortunately the Checkpoint Cup race reports this year will be somewhat abbreviated as Adobe Flash has been discontinued and I have lost the ability to load multiple photos as a group, 10 at a time, to the post. I simply have no time to do them individually with a few comments so I'll get the basics, qualification, results and the podium car pics.....
The first race of the weekend was Retro Anglewinder Coupe on the LONG and FAST and TRICKY Piranha Raceway Flat track. Great track and it drew 17 racers.
Retro Coupe Qualification Super close with Joe Chevy TQ at 6.51 and last A Main sit-out Garrett Sisk .09 second back!
Retro Coupe Results
Mill Conroy won the C Main and Chance Overholt won the B Main. In the A Main, Chance Overholt ran to a steady victory with a close win over Duran Trujillo 2nd and Herman James 3rd. Bryan Warmack just nipped Garrett Sisk for 4th. Fastest lap Joe Chevy with a 6.55.
