I've heard of this motor, but cannot find a picture or any info on the web.

Hi Mark, 

 

Are you sure it's the DC94 and not the DC84? 

 

As far as I know, first the DC85, then the DC84 were the last big padlocks made by Pittman for slot cars. Along the same lines, there's a DC86, which is bigger and strictly for trains.

Yes, the 94 was a large AC motor. Not for slot cars. I would bet that he is referring to the 84 which is a big padlock motor as Don said.

No, I guess he was indeed referring to the DC94. Interesting to see that it came in either AC or DC versions... 

 

Any idea of that ad date Mark.

Left Pittman 105 and Right 106, sitting on top 84-6 and 85a, Russkit 16D for size comparison.

Still the Pitman 94 is a big one. Best motors ever made.

I will look around the shop for a 94

Talking about big, here are some I've had... the Ram 283 (small ), KTM 250, and DC95.
