Culvers started opening up in the Chicago area, 20-25 years ago.
During Lent, the last 5-10 years, I've been getting the 3 piece walleye dinner.
It's real, real good, although occasionally, the breading is a tiny bit greasy.
Culvers is good.
All the food seems to be slightly above average, and the ice cream, of course, is terrific.
The best part of the one by me, is that it's obvious they don't hire people with bad attitudes.
Every employee is polite and cheerful.

Jesse, the closest Culvers to me is in Ohio. There's one in Sierra Vista. So next time I'm in AZ, I'll try it out. You gave me some other AZ places in the Tucson area to try also. No definite plans or time, but in a couple years my son will be graduating from the U of AZ.

They just came to the Florida area near me. I am not a fish person. Burgers are a bit too overdone with the crust they put on the exterior the couple times I have been there. They have pot roast on the menu. Very different selections.

A few of the locals guys brag on the Walleye, but the burgers are so good, I just can't pass up a "Double Deluxe".

My wife is a Midwestern girl (Iowa) and if it weren't for Culvers she would not be able to get a good pork tenderloin. I actually like In & out burgers better but there are other things a Culvers to like, the pot roast sandwich with extra gravy is top shelf stuff. Their Ruben sandwich is geat too.

Last Friday had the walleye at the Bellville MI location. EXCELLENT! In my opinion most walleye is hard to fry but they do a wonderful job of it. I wonder where it is sourced?

To Bill From NH, there is now a Culver's just off I-10 at Kino Parkway in Tucson, a few miles south of the UA campus. Probably others, but this one is in my neighborhood, so I drive by it daily on my way to and from work. And while we have Culver's, sadly no slot car raceway in Tucson. I get a wild idea every now and then to open one, but soon realize the impracticality of doing that.

Bill, my son & his family live in Sierra Vista. My son umpires many baseball games from Little League, to high school, & various adult leagues. He's in Tucson a lot. I have to ask him about Culver's. There might be one in Sierra Vista, but I don't recall it when I was last out there,

I talked to my son this afternoon. He said they do have a Culver's in Sierra Vista, not far from his house.. He said his family goes there about once a month. He told me the food was just as good as you & Jesse have said on here. His family is more into beef than fish, so haven't tried the walleye yet.

Culvers has a pretty strict policy requiring stores to be owner operated and I think it is a key part of why they have such good customer service across the board.
