Double Trouble
Lancer had a great vacuum formed body of it in the Indy car series they had in the mid-60's. Anyone have a clear and/or painted example of it they can post?

If anyone has that body, or has used it, it'll probably be Rick Thigpen. Over the years, he's had a fantastic collection of bodies to use for his builds.
I intend to live forever! So far, so good.

I built two of these slot cars using Lancer bodies.
One slot car was given to Tom, the engine machinist for the real car. Tom also has a few pieces of the Indy car. He also did the machine work for my '73 RS engine (shown on test stand).
The slot car is powered with two five pole 16D motors.
The Indy car was powered with two Porsche 911 engines.

Bill Cheesebourg live in Tucson on the street north of Bill Rodgers, by the way all the people that hung out on speedway or the midnight drags he was kind of a no go driver. Raced at indy several times but just didn't have the foot for going fast like the article says. They should have put in Bill Rogers, now he knew how to go fast anywhere. we liked doing sidways slides on the freeway cloverleafs.. Sably Bill died of cancer instead of going fast.

I have a clear Lancer body of this car somewhere. I’ll dig it out today.

I worked at Huffaker engineering for a while and spoke to Joe Sr. about this car, he was not too optimistic about the layout. But built the car anyway for the customer.
It did not qualify for the race.
The beautiful Lancer body is called Indy Porsche Porsche. #225
