I just started to browse and on the title page it states that our illustrious member Sir Don Siegel did the editing of the book.

I got mine today too. This is a work of art! Thanks Doc, for a beautiful piece of literature that will be with me forever. Yes, it took some time to be completed but so did the Sistine Chapel. I am grateful for all your work. ```````````````````````````````````````````````Also, many thanks to all the others who worked on it. Don Siegel, Larry Crane, and of course Scott Bader

I received mine today! I started browsing though it and really like it!
But what really surprised me is Steve Deiters' memory of Pete Zimmerman and I. I had never seen his written memory before and really struck me as it’s life lessons learned and applied, something many slot racers have done. That was just another few daze of the very memorable journey that encompassed three weeks of my life. Three weeks that definitely influenced myself and a brief part ot it, Steve. Thanks, Steve!

I heard a light tapping at my door about 5 PM today. It was Tina, the same wonderful USPS mailperson I've had for almost thirty years.
The box she was holding wouldn't fit into my fairly large mailbox, so she was bringing it and my other mail to the door.
"Thanks, Tina. I've been waiting for this package for quite a while."
"How long did it take?" she asked.
I thought a moment and said, "Almost twelve years..."

New arrival today at 11:02 EST. 3 lbs 2 oz., 16 inches long. Upon further inspection, inside wrapped in green bubble wrap. Removed bubble wrap and protected by another white cardboard box. Opened the box and found a great cover photo on a book wrapped in clear cellophane.

I've had mine sitting around unopened for almost a week until I finally found the time to clean off an area large enough to be able to set it down and comfortably open it! Philippe has shown me little snippets from time to time but I really didn't know what to expect. I spent about an hour just glancing over the superb pics and commentary and it is truly awesome! I hope to actually sit down this weekend and actually start reading it! Even someone not really interested in slot cars will find this book fascinating.
Basically an encyclopedia of early slot car history with wonderful and colorful photos of all the people and all the cars!
Congrats to Philippe and Scott on a spectacular effort!

Offer Philippe $10 to sign it, or offer $20 to NOT sign it!
Sorry, old joke, and still makes me laugh! Got my copy here and two for friends in the UK. Hope to open soon and really looking forward to it!

Hi Jeff!
How are you guys getting signed copies of the new book?
I received an email from Electric Dreams, informing me that the book was soon to be mailed out, and if I wanted a signed copy to reply immediately because Philippe was to sign only 50 copies.
