I bought this some years ago. I am not sure, but think I bought it from Bob Rule himself, maybe through E-bay.

It seems to be a prototype chassis built in late 1977 by Flea Frames, maybe for a new class ??

Does anybody out there know the background for this ??

If I want to built a car around it, which motor, wheels, body etc would you guys suggest ?

Looks like a Mura Gp 20 would be perfect for it

I'm not familiar with that particular chassis, but its general style was popular in the mid to late 70's. We used them for wing cars, but any C-can motor or smaller would be appropriate. For fronts, I'd use a pair of the 5/8" dia. o-ring wheels popular for flexi racing. Rears may be 13/16" dia. sponge, but the rear axle tube may be jigged lower for smaller tires. For a body, I'd suggest one of John Dilworth's vintage sports cars. I think however you build it, you'll end up with a very nice scale race car.

Phil Lee is from Newark, DE, probably a Camen & Mid-Alantic region racer..
