I just stumbled across this new company that is offering custom CNC slot car track designs.

Their website:   https://www.cnctrackdesign.com/

Thanks.

The video was impressive to watch. I'm not interested in getting a track, but it would be interesting to see how price effective they are  My guess is they're more "upscale" than "down home.".

Cool find Ernie! They keep mentioning that this is for 1/32 but they also mentioned it is based on Carrera track so I wonder if it supports 1/24 cars too? I love that their design makes sure the lane lengths are equal even while changing up the slot distances in the corners. If only I had more space for a track!

While it's a nice idea--the costs are WAY too high for the average slot racer.  It's based on $80/hr  labor for design etc.  Bob Scott has been building very nice tracks for years at a much more competitive rate.  I'm looking to Bob to build one for me later this year.  Good to see there are people still building tracks!!

I think those of us in the western US are quite spoiled by having Bob Scott available to build and maintain our tracks. I have not seen Bob in person in a while, although Jeannette and I keep in touch through Facebook. I hope to be able to meet up with him in the near future. He's a great guy and such an asset when it comes to slot car tracks.

Bob posted on Facebook recently that lumber and MDF have increased in price and become harder to get. It prompted me to take a look at the MDF price at Home Depot and Lowe's. Sure enough, it was $31 a sheet at one and $37 at the other. Not so long ago it was under $20. Slot tracks are getting more expensive. However, I priced the PVC sheet that some of the CNC tracks are made from, and that still makes MDF look dirt cheap.
