In the one photo, this king appears to be a contemporary track from the likes of an Ogilvie, Tunkel Bros., etc., rather than an AMCR king. Anyone know its approximate age? Tom Andersen, who used to re-pop vintage bodies, was a Ft Wayne racer.

Perhaps you could phone the raceway.

An AMCR track would have a bottom, and it does not look like the one in the first photo does. Fact I'm pretty sure it's on the usual double-triangle legs of the Hasse and newer builders.
