Indeed! I thought about his importance as I tracked most of my cars today, all of which were all impacted by him.

This is an idea, lets post our favorite Champion item.
I have lot of Champion items.
I have always loved these closed ended front and rear wheels. Seen on my original 1968 "Champion equipped" car.
Love the nickle plated frames too. Thanks again Bob, I am a fan.

Favorite Champion item? Hard question because nearly all my cars have Champion parts. I would have to say the tapered jaildoor frame.

Facebook says he was 85 yesterday! My favorite Champion piece is this:
Shortly after I traded a couple vintage dragsters for this and some Dyna-Rewind parts Bob sent me a friend request on Facebook. Of course I accepted and shared the story of getting the handles. He said he remembered them and hadn't seen them in YEARS! Dave Bloom art for Bob Rule and Champion, LOVE IT!!!!!!!

I still remember Bob Rule jumping up on a pool table at Joel's, the Bicentennial race I think, to give everyone a great YO-YO performance.
