entry fees are the same as all monthly races 15$ plus 5$ for track time King track only if racing otherwise 20$ weekend fee for the Day

Last warmup before the NASRA race

 

First up was the OMB race

TQ was Jason Klauk with a 2.198. Jason is just returning to racing after several decades in retirement. He bought a Cahoza setup off the wall, stuck it in his car and set fast time with a 2.198

8 racers so we split it up 4 and 4.

Jason, Joe Gallagher and Linn Hammond swapped the lead early with first Jason and then Linn falling behind Bill Taylor

In the final 2 heats Bill made up 6 laps on Joe

We had our monthly wing car race yesterday, but with the upcoming USRA nats and the holiday weekend, the entries were down

 

We start with OMB as always.

 

Andy Stapars was the fast qualifier with a 2.121

 

The race was not real exciting with Andy taking the win with 645 laps

We just finished the NATS and every bodies stuff is used up, so we will not be racing the first saturday of october.

I wanted to say that there was a 2OMO before USRA Nats race with three racers Forrest, Joe and myself. The race was won by Forrest and I was in second with Joe in third. Joe hit my slot car and was destroyed.

Group F

 

We will be running our first Group F race on Friday November 5th. This is the day before our regular wing car races. Racing starts at 7PM

We did get five guys to show up, so we did a test and tune session.

 

There were a couple of guys who wanted to come and race with us but had prior family and business commitments.

 

We have at least one new/returning racer saying he is in and we have a father/daughter team likely to join us as well. And we sold a few cars to beginning racers a few months ago, hopefully we will get them as well.

 

The next event is scheduled for December 3.

We raced winged cars on 2/5.

 

First up was OMB.

 

We had 10 racers, so after qualifying we split them up to run 2, 5 man races.

Hector Rodriguez came in from overseas, Spain I think, and TQed with a 2.140.

 

JB Barnett won the "B" race with 620 laps, good for 3rd overall

 

Hector won the race overall with 631 laps

Richard Curnutte 624 laps

 

 

Next up was HBB with 8 racers.

Art Richardson was TQ with 2.097

Once again we split the field in half.

Roy Lievanos won the "B" race with 630 laps, but the top 4 overall came out of the "A" race

Andy Stapars 652 laps

Hector Rodriguez 645 laps

 

 

Final race of the day was 27L

I did not get the race sheets but Andy Stapars TQed and won the race

Art richardson was 2nd and Jeremy Marquette was 3rd
