I plan to make a car out of this body. It's marked McLaren M12, is that correct? Thank you

I was just going to ask you who made that body from your previous post.
The Mk.12 was the McLaren customer car in 1969. It had a M8A body that sat on a M6B chassis. Jim Hall had MK 12 McLarens for his Chaparral drivers to race that year. But what makes this particular slot car body a MK 12 & not a M8A? Anything?
Betta makes a 1/32 McLaren M8A, but your body is not it. They do not make a Mk 12.

I don't know who made it or where it came from. You guys are the historians, I'm just the builder and mechanic. If I was into 1/1 cars, I'd build 1/1 cars

Pablo, was that in the pile of stuff I sent to you? If so, it may be a Dilworth body. Maybe Noose would know. We were looking at 1/32 Retro with Duffy at one point many moons ago....when there was actually time in a Retro East day to run a "fun" class (like jail door cars)

If you sent 3 1/32 bodies along with the small track, then yes this is one of them. I'll be working on it today

Yes, IIRC I did. So probably a Dilworth. Can't wait to see what you build.
Bill, I questioned this myself, and found some pictures of one variation of the 12 that had only one NACA duct on the top of the left side pod. All M8 variations I saw had one on each side.
