The Slot Car Track Concord has begun work on a new/additional location to be located in downtown Kannapolis, NC.

 

 

This is all we know at this time. More details will be posted when they are known.

A slot track with a bar. Works for me!

​Lots of 1/1 racing activity in the area as it is home base to most of NASCAR’s teams.

 

Many suppliers and fabricators for other series have located in the region as well to take advantage of the available workforce.

 

So there must be plenty of guys around who also like slot cars for them to draw on to open a second location. Here’s wishing them well!

There was a place in Atlanta like that in the late '80''s or early '90s. It didn't last long. There was another place next to a bar that didn't last long in the mid-2000s.

There are at least a half-dozen raceways that I personally have been to with a bar either adjacent or nearby the raceway.

 

When Mid-America Raceway was located in Montgomery, IL, there was a bar and grill "Poor Boys" next door. There was talk of installing a doorway between the raceway and the bar. I recall many Saturday nights going "next door" for a cold one and Karaoke.

 

Back in the day at Hank's in West Allis (Milwaukkee) when attending the Octoberfest race, we'd finish qualifying, nip over to "Shamrox" next door typical WI tavern to have a few and be done just in time for our semi.

 

There is/was a hole in the wall bar and grill "Dave's Pub" less than a block east from Thazer Raceway. I've walked there for a sandwich when racing at Thazer.

 

The "Arrowhead Bar and Grill" in Hartford, MI, is less than a block west from Pro Slot LLC and their raceway.

 

On the other side of the coin, Lucky Bob's Raceway in Milwaukee is across the street from the Aurora Rehab Center.

Parma Raceway had s bar/resturant across the street called Barons, 25 cent fishbowls, dad would drop me at the raceway and have a cold one.

Rentals $12 for 30 minutes of track time with our car and controller.

 

All day pass $12 with your own car and controller.

 

Open 6 days a week. Racing 4" stock car, 4" DLM and 4.5 Grand nationals.
