What is a CR-106?

So are there now four CR motors?

I saw the CR-106 mentioned on another site.

The 106 is a test motor not quite out yet. It is the next step above the CR105/Stage 5 motor. Last Saturday night Mike Swiss turned a .853 ET in the new Mosetti no-bar chassis with a hardbody Corvette body. Mike continues to test and make improvements on these types of motors. I'm sure Mike will make an announcement soon on when this motor will be available.

Eddie,
Yes, I've been doing a woefully poor job promoting my product.

A few corrections.

The car ran a record .8529, not a .853. Lol

The CR106 is a production item and has been at the distributors since last Wednesday.

Along with being a ferocious drag motor, about 5 weeks back, I had the CR106 prototype in a slightly less than state of the art wing car.

When one of the G12 racers had the endbell bushing melt out of his motor, the first heat, I gave him the car to use and he was running either fast time of the heat, or was within .01 or .02 of the racers running the latest and greatest.

While some racers have 1,863 laps on their CR102 motors, like Noose, and they are still running strong, I see the much, much faster CR106 as a 1 or 2 race motor, on a road course.

To better keep up with my product, I suggest bookmarking ;

ERI provides a numeric listing, and more pictures, while Eagle will provide retail prices.

Swiss and Spock are the same guy.  :laugh2:

Thanks for the info and links.

Mike; Tell the folks in the audience how many runs you have on that motor.

There isn't much of a drag crowd on Slotblog, so it wouldn't mean much to them.

What's probably more impressive is how many hard passes I've gotten on those tires you made for me.

Hey, my pleasure. Anything I can do to help your product development. It might help keep the hobby alive. (I should give a big thanks to Tim Homola for the donuts)

Can anyone tell me why my local raceway has 2 motors on C102 packages with a "2" engraved over the top of the "6" in the two locations where the "106" appears on the can?

Could they be Generation 7?

Maybe.  Looks similar but not quite the same.

Thanks

Because the vendors reversed the engraving on the 2 wildly different motors, in production.

If it was a "real" CR106, it would run like a G12 motor.
