I got the Moderna vaccine back in February & March. The injection was so painless I joked with the nurse if she had put a needle in.

My wife and I both got the Pfizer shots, back in Jan and Feb, a few day apart, at 2 different locations.

Mine was in a low income area, and was staffed by mostly young military personnel.

We both quipped we didn't feel anything.

My wife became mildly concerned because she also never had any side effects, whatsoever.

I had a mildly sore arm for about 12 hours, with the first shot and zero side effects after the second.

I'll add that my doctor mentioned him and most of his colleagues had the Moderna, off course, early on.

He volunteered that almost all talked of side effects(none serious), with the younger doctors seemingly affected more.

My daughter (a doctor) says that the stronger the side effects the more your body is fighting the initial shot of the vaccine and the more it will create immunity.   Younger people seem to have a stronger immune system, so their bodies fight it harder.   It's just doctor talk to me.

So the sicker you get the better the vaccine worked?

I have read that possibly the younger you are, the more robust your immune system is, and so the greater the response.  I doubt this has been proven as fact, so YMMV

I know a lot of people who have gotten the vaccines, and I only know of one person who had any type of negative reaction...my sister developed a mild anaphylaxis about 40 minutes after the first dose, and of course by then she was already on the way home. It was very mild, not at all life threatening, and a dose of benadryl made it go away.  But her doctor advised her not to get the second dose, so she's probably about 60% on the resistance to covid

My Wife and I both had Modurna shots in Feb/March with no side effects at all after the first shot other than very slight arm soreness.  After the second shot my Wife had no side effects but 24 hours after I was hit with about 4 hours of substantial fatigue.  I could have worked through it but I just laid down and took a long 4+ hour nap and felt fine afterwards.

Having many RN's as friends it is surprising how many have resisted getting the shots, recently they were given a vaccinate or terminate message from their employers.

Oh, I heard about the Delta from a doctor with deep roots in India, she said that it was shown to be very bad even to people who had been injected. My odds of survival were zero with Delta even after being "Phizerized".

My CEO and I got the Moderna vax about a month apart in Jan-Feb. I had a sore arm both times. She had sore arm and a queazy tummy for about 36 hours after her second shot. It is the right thing to do.

If you want to bitch about the vaccine, you need to post somewhere other than Slotblog.
