Electron Raceway proudly announces a Cobra Daytona Challenge Series beginning in late Fall of 2021 (Tentative date for first event is 11/15/21) . The Series will feature 1/20 Scale Resin models of the Cobra Daytona powered by Deathstar or ProSlot 16D motors. Complete rules for the Class are enumerated in "True Scale Rules" posted on Slotblog. See the link True Scale Rules Updated 9/14/2021 - Electron "True Scale" rules - Slotblog (Cursor down to the section entitled "True Scale 60s GT Cars" for specifics. Also, the first section of the rules entitled "Rules Applied to All True Scale Classes" also applies to the Cobra Daytona). If you have a True Scale Trans Am or True Scale Sports Car, the chassis/motor makes the car legal. All that is necessary is to change the front and rear track and use the applicable tire size shown in the "True Scale 60s GT Cars" specific rules and mount the body.
The Cobra Daytona in 1/20th scale was produced through a molding a casting process. See the following link Ford vs. Ferrari - idea - Electron Raceway projects - Slotblog for details. The bodies have been distributed to all potential participants with one exception. If the bodies prove to be durable enough, other 60s GT cars like the Ferrari 250 GTO, Cheetah and perhaps the Corvette Gran Sport will produced in resin in 1/20th scale as well and raced in the same class as the Cobra Daytona. Below is the Series Flier. Stay tuned for images of all of the resin cars participating in this series. Some are shown in the Ford vs. Ferrari post.

Points will be awarded in each race as follows. 20, 15, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8 etc. for first through eighth respectively. Each competitors worst score will be dropped (A “worst score” could apply to zero points due to a missed race)
- Drivers will qualify (one minute - any lane OK) for seeded positions in the initial race only. Seeding for the initial race will be determined by number of laps/sections completed qualifying. Seeding for subsequent races will be determined by finishing order in the prior event
- Trophies will be awarded to top five overall Series drivers
