I found some hot fuel proof paint or what they call dope. I know they quit making these paints a long time ago because of health and enviro hazards. They are still solvent and smell quit strong.

Has anybody used these in the past and are they worth acquiring?

Only one way to find out.  :)

Just cut off some Lexan or butyrate (or both) from some either scrap bodies or the outside edge that is usually cut off anyway.

Flying model airplane dope is made to shrink to tighten up the silk covering they used to use. It will curl a Lexan or buterate body.
