Any reason to not use 1-Shot lettering enamel on old bodies? Guessing mine are all butyrate. I’d like to strip this with Oven-off and repaint it since it’s in good shape but has a horrible painted on the outside paint job.

I have thread about botched lacquer. I tried oven cleaner and it didn't even faze it. However I've had great luck stripping chromium off of styrene with it.

You can use Simple Green to strip paint from plastic. It’s not as toxic as Castrol super clean. Environmentaly safer too.
