That is an original K&B. That body is hard to find  in very good shape.  The reason for that auction going fairly high.  Nobody makes a good copy of that body, so a nice car is hard to find.

It's rare to see one not messed up..  Bad thing is it is missing the interior.

It fetched a pretty penny at over $300 with tax and all. Its missing the factory numbers also.

 

I am happy to have mine. Great looking car IMO. This is worth a read too. http://slotblog.net/...b-chaparral-2d/ Started in 2008 to 2018. Time flies.

 

I added a shot of the interior, with its factory dried up tape replaced in the same location.

 

P.S. this looks like a pretty good repo interior in-case someone has a car with it  missing.
