Cry like a baby, drive like a girl, walk like a man.
Give me enough rope and I'll build a fast car... or hang myself?

This and almost every discussion about hawk motors is referring to 130fk based hawks. Think hawk 7 ect

Is it just me or,if you look closely I'd sware the com moves. It could be a optical conclusion. You know, like when you look at something and come to the conclusion it's fubar'd.

My motors are all sinkers, except for the rubber bands.

Hand-wound is the only way rubber bands work. (From my airplane days.)

Hand-wound is the only way rubber bands work. (From my airplane days.)
The guy across the hall at college had a rubber band powered plane. He used an electric motor to wind the band because it took so many turns. The plane was basal or bass wood with film covering.

When I played with planes, I wasn't old enough to go to college.

And, for the full effect:

It met with the same fate as the real one.

It crashed & burnt? I bought a couple RC kits in the late 70s. I never finished the plane, never started the glider.

I built a 3' long Hindenburg . Balsa , paper skin, obligatory rubber band drive. And, for the full effect: Balloons for helium. It met with the same fate as the real one.

Any way, the one way that I know of that is for sure is to buy 100. When John (JK) owned JK, it was affordable. Just like the old proverb " he who spends the most laughs last".
