It's Halloween 2021, the 5th Sunday in October. Time for an extra race day for D3 Hardbody Racing at Buena Park Raceway.
Today's first race is for GTPs. A field of 8 entries.
Hector Gonzalez won just a few feet ahead of Jim Lane in 2nd and Tim Herrera 3rd. Gonzo was the lone racer to record a sub 5 second lap in today's race.
The "Racer Handicap" podium had Tim Herrera 1st, Gonzo 2nd and Jim 3rd.
The second race was a mixed race for any D3 Hardbody racing class (including GTP). 14 entries for this race.
Jim Lane won with Gonzo in 2nd and Keith Tanaka 3rd. The "Racer Handicap" podium had Ken Dylke 1st, Jim Lane 2nd and Dennis Samson 3rd.
The third race of the day was a special "DEMO" race for 1/32 ready to run cars (Revo-Slot, NSR, Slot-It, etc.). All cars limited to stock 21k motors, stock gears, rear tires stock or foam.
A field of 6 entries, all were Revo-Slot cars except Dennis Samson started with a NSR Corvette C7 in the first heat and decided to change to a Revo-Slot Toyota GT1 for the remaining 7 heats. Dennis' Corvette was clearly much faster than the other cars so he decided to race a Revo-Slot car to make the demo race an all Revo-Slot race. Dennis and Russell Van Wyck were the leaders in this race with all 6 entries having a good race.
Dennis Samson 1st (Revo-Slot Toyota GT1), Russell Van Wyck 2nd (Revo-Slot Marcos), Tim Herrera 3rd (Revo-Slot Toyota Supra).
Thanks to Jim Watterson (and Eddie) for their support of D3 Hardbody Racing at BPR.
