Another one of my favorite little cars. Came new from a showroom somewhere in the LA area.

How long ago did you acquire this car?

 

I presume this style of Cheetah body is no longer available or is it please?

I have had this car for 14 years and was  told that it came from the factory display case. This I doubt. I am not at all OK with dates and specs. I believe the car is from the early '70's.  Someone can be more specific I am sure. It is NOS.  They show up for sale now and then and not too expensive.

can find them in Auto World catalogs from the 1970 era

Riggen made a set with 4 cars two HO scale & two 1/32 scale ran on same track.

It took awhile, but I finally found it in the 1974 Auto World catalog, listed as the "Hawk Cheetah". It wasn't in any of the earlier ones. 

 

Found one of these myself a year or two ago - nice car!

yes the Cheetah is an early 1970s era car. The signed business card is a great Riggen collectible.
