Thirteen slot-heads showed up to race ProTrack NASCAR and Flexi at STR on 11/8/21. This included three visitors from Cottage Grove (Mark H, Dustin and Greg). Track conditions were quite loose which impacted fast laps, laps completed and consistency.
Bob won the ProTrack race finishing with 77.2 laps. Nick, however was quite competitive and had a shot at beating Bob. In the end, Nick finished second, less than a lap behind.
Meanwhile the battle for the bottom step of the podium was hotly contested between Ron, Scott and Mark C. In the end, Ron edged out the others for third with Mark only three sections behind
Rich took a DQ because of mechanical problems. He then ran his stock Scaleauto Dodge Viper for the last three heats.
Lowell's knee was bothering him quite a bit and he left after the ProTrack race.
Bob cruised to a win in the Flexi race finishing with 91.4 laps. The rest of the field was far behind. The track conditions were quite slick and this made running Flexis difficult. The track did improve as the race progressed but lap times and consistency were badly affected,
The battle for the the second and third steps of the podium was between Scott, Rich, Ron and Mike. In the end Scott finished second, only three sections ahead of third place Rich. Great job, Scott and his highest finish ever.
