Looks like it might have originally been in TN. If you got the room, for the price it's a steal.

If only it was closer! Also a bit too big for me.

:(  I don't have 20 feet. much less 40. Unfortunately, it's less than forty miles for me.

Random thoughts.

I wonder if this track was going to be set up in this area.

The track sections are numbered, are the legs (and are the legs all there) numbered as well? (This was a large part of the problem with restoring a King track.)

When I first saw the title I thought it was a resurfacing of the tracks from Danbury, CT.

Half true, I bought it last week, picking it up after the holidays.

In answer to your questions above, the guy who I bought it from was planning to use parts of it to make an oval track for his basement but ended up making a new track from scratch.

All the legs are there and are numbered just as the sections are, this track is in great condition and when it's been rebraided it will be close to new condition (it has 4 1/2" lane spacing)

Hi Paul,

Where abouts in VT will the track be set up?

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

Hi Paul,

Where abouts in VT will the track be set up?

That's a good question, I'm located in the northwest corner of the state, it's a short drive to either Quebec or New York state

The place I had hoped to set it up is not available now, although it might be again, I'll have to wait and see.

It's a moot point at the moment, I have a place to store it and it will take some time to get the sections rebraided, I plan to do it right, all by sections so it will be easy to set up and take down to move if necessary.

I'd like to set it up as either a 1 or 2 night a week club or as a combination raceway, model train shop and guitar/drum storebut that's a ways off.

I've wanted one of these things for so long and this one is so nice that I figured it was time to either poop or get off the can.

It could be hilarious to have someone on the drums while the guys slot race.

Rim shot when someone crashes etc.

one of the local raceways when I was a kid had an original Engleman, they claimed it was 240' but I suspect it was 220', it was on the second floor and was notorious for cars launching off the bank and going out the window into the street below.
