Please post your questions about this project here. They will be answered as soon as I can. Please be patient.

It is probably more effective to ask your questions here rather than PM but all questions will be treated with respect and answered in a timely manner. If you DO PM a question, it may be copied here to benefit others that may have a similar question or concern.

Please reserve the earlier thread for those wishing to express interest in ordering.

I will seed this thread with the questions that were asked in PM.

Update 12/15/2021 This project is still on track. I have been very sick the last few days which is why no additional information has been posted. I want to answer a couple of questions.

1. Do you have tall sizes? I am trying to find out from the company I am working with. This is a busy time of the year for them, they will be more responsive after the first of the year. I am told also that at this time of the year that there are certain material supply issues. These shirts have a longer than standard tail. How much longer? I am trying to get dimensions for you. "Variances" from standard usually cost extra money. There may be an up-charge for "Tall" sizes. As soon as I know, I will post that information.

2. What other colors are available? We only plan to run memorial black with white printing. There are no plans to offer colors. Black is IMO the most popular Slot Racing t-shirt color anyway.

3. Do I get a free T-shirt drawing ticket per shirt or per order? Each shirt will be numbered and if that shirt's number comes up in the drawing, it's free. First paid when the money requests go out gets shirt 002 and so forth. 001 is reserved. Note that only PAID shirts as of the deadline are eligible for the free shirt drawing.

4. Can we have another discussion thread for questions? Yes we can but it would I think have to be started by Greg. He can correct me if I am wrong. I am happy to answer your questions if I can. (note- this is it. Post away)

5. You say the excess proceeds will go to Genius Garage (a non-profit). Can we donate to them by some other means? Yes I believe there is a donate here button on their webpage. They appreciate cash donations of all sizes. Donations are definitely a IRS tax write-off for the year that they are donated. Genius Garage gets a lot of donations of cars and tools for student use, but less so of cash. Consider throwing in a few bucks today!

Thank You!!!

That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

NOTE: I have received the proofs from the printer. I don't know if everyone who is interested has put in their orders on the other thread. If you know someone who might be interested in shirt(s), please mention this project to them.

There will only be ONE run produced of this design. If you want one or more- please express interest on the other thread.

Important question!!

Should we pull the trigger to send out bills and produce the shirts earlier than 2/14/22? I don't want people to say "I didn't hear about it and got left out". PLEASE COMMENT!!

I'd say to wait until the New Year (Jan. 1st?) to do that as some orders seem to be trickling in.  You should put a notice in the order thread that clearly states the drop dead date to place an order and then after that date make the order.  Just my $.02

A gentleman walked in today to ck out our Engleman, he said he was from NY. Where did ya race, he said buzzarama, buzzards, he told us some neat stories from the 60s and 70s.

Current drop dead date is 2/17 as stated in the other thread.

Correction - I had to move it up to 12/23 at the request of the company doing the printing. The order has been placed. Those that hesitated are apparently SOL. Sorry, I did all that I could.

I have been told by the company that I must place the order today 12/23.

Those that have requested a shirt as of the time of this post are included in the order. I am sorry that we were not able to delay the order into the New Year, but the supplier was able to put the order on hold for a few weeks which is appreciated and IMO is better than nothing.

Payment requests and requests for mailing addresses will be sent by PM once the shirts have arrived (date TBA).

The free shirt drawing will be held after all shirts have been paid and shipped. If you win the drawing, the cost of the winning shirt will be refunded to you.

Thank you to all for their participation in this project.

Today I got the proofs for the shirts and they have been approved to start printing. I do not yet have a delivery date but will update everyone when i do.

The shirts came out on the low end of the estimate, $19.99 each for all sizes other than XLT which is $20.99. Shipping will be additional of course.

If you wish to pay over and above the amount that the shirts "cost", any additional money left over will go to Genius Garage which is a non-profit to give young people experience with working and designing racing cars (see previous messages).

We will have the drawing AFTER all shirts have been paid for and shipped and the winner will have the cost of their shirt refunded to them. Using this method we can start billing and shipping the shirts right away rather than waiting for the drawing. I hope everyone agrees that this gets shirts to people sooner than the original plan.

I was talking to the post office today in hopes that we can get a flat rate for shipping. They are looking into this and will let us know. Best estimate is that Priority Mail shipping will be around $7.50 or less per order. I do not know if we will be able to send single shirts first class due to weight. When they arrive I will check and update the information here.

Since the shirt has writing on it maybe you could ship it out as media mail. 😂

I'll be keeping an eye out so I know what I owe you for the two shirts I had ordered. Thank you.

Boy Joe I sure wish I could do that. I was shocked that Magazines being shipped in bulk apparently aren't even considered to be "Media Mail".

Just an update guys- the XLT and 3XL shirts were shipped separately from the others. I was told that there were "supply chain issues". That apparently will be the NEW excuse for nearly everything that wasn't done right the first time from now on. :(

As soon as these shirts have arrived, I will begin sending the money requests and when paid, I will ship them to their new owners.

I don't have a tracking number for the XLT and 3XL shirt shipment yet, but as soon as I do, I will update this thread with the projected arrival date.

I took the morning batch of shirt packages to the post office today but they were closed because of the threat of severe weather. I dropped them in the P.O. collection bin and hopefully they will be on their way tomorrow.

We had a couple of people who had committed to buy that changed their minds, but the "excess" was sold almost immediately. Please check with the person at Farrout as to what size they need. If there are any left I will post the information here once the last of the pre-orders has shipped.

Thanks for your interest. And thanks to everyone for the support of this project.

You know it's been on my mind. Between a memorial sticker I had purchased and the shirt I'm disappointed Buzzy's wife Dolores was not mentioned. She was there Hands-On fixing controllers taking care of the rental cars with repairs and so on.

Rest in peace Dolores you will never be forgotten.
