I found this on Ebay

https://www.ebay.com...0424.m570.l5997

Could this be a long lost Prototype from Cox for the MK2?  Has me puzzled. The seller is from Belgium.

I wouldn't mind having it, lost prototype or not.

Lot of gray area here.  Philippe might  provide some info  on this.  He is the only one with any firsthand knowledge of those protos.  I believe in the past he said  they were  made from model kits, IMC, maybe.     I seem to remember the magazine pictures showed a Cox Ford GT interior..Philippe is the only one that can claim to have had them in his hands.  I think there were several copies of  that car built by Bill Wessels, which would be as good as the cars the Cox designers built.

The protos that were  in pictures were all white and blue they were never orange and probably had the the Team Modified chassis.   The decals and box art were for the white and blue car.

Looks like a Fujimi body to me.

The chassis was throwing me off too. I was expecting the newer version.

Certainly not one of the 8 GT Mk2 prototypes.

Can you imagine a Cox without a complete interior?

Besides, some chassis of the prototypes were rather the one of the Dino, if I remember well. Not the Team Modified.

There were at least 3 different chassis if my memory is good, I saw a picture with a Dino with drop arm, one with Dino chassis and Ackerman steering.

Jairus made very a good copy (but not with the Dino chassis).

Actually, I have built two.
The first in 2011:

The second in 2017 with the adjustable "team modified" chassis with the long tongue.

According to PdL, all builders were provided with an IMC kit of the Mk2 and a chassis kit.  Some team modified, some not.  Some had the ackerman steering and some did not.

respectfully submitted,  Jairus

P.S. that original post is a Fujimi body on a Cox chassis.
On the left is the Fujimi body and on the right, the modified Cox body.
