Thanks Bill,
One of my favorite classes is the Vintage Econo. This class (and some others) run with what we call the Econo Chassis. All are identical. They have no hinges but can "rattle" from side to side about 3/32 of an inch. The class is fun, and racing is close

Wasn't the econo chassis the brainchild of Bob Hanna? I seem to recall getting the chassis specs from him (.063 & .093) just before my local raceway closed. I still have the two Ferret motor brackets I intended to use.

That is correct. The chassis is used at least four classes.

Rich, do you have any pictures of the econo flexi chassis? I'm curious what it looks like.

I do not but the next time I go down to the shop I will take a few photos. The chassis are fabricated from .093 brass and they are heavy but handle great on tracks that are tight like mine and at STR.

Pans move from side to side on .062 piano wire which is attached to the pans but not to the center section. The piano wire slides back and forth on the center section. Note that there are two attachment points - on in the middle of the chassis and one on the front end (The front end attachment can be seen clearly on the shot of the bottom of the chassis
