I am putting together a couple rails to run 1/8th. Trying to run them mostly in a 8.00 index class. I have a Proslot 2002 16d that am going to stick in one. With 1.100 tall rear tires .500 wide. What would you guys suggest for a good starting point for gearing. And I am thinking about putting a CR102 in the other one. Thanks.

With the CR102, I go .545-.570, in the 1/8.
That's trying to go fast, at 106G, geared 12-27, on 16.4V.
I'm not sure if you could get one to only go .800, without a controller choke, or a resistor in the car.
May 7-27 or 8-27, and add a bunch of weight.
You would probably get an incredible 60 time, and the car would quit accelerating shortly after that.

Thanks mike. Maybe I need to try something like a Proslot 4001?

Start with a 13x 52 and see where that puts a 16d. Might have to go down to 48

Well I have a drag car now! I built it out of am old FCR. running a Proslot 16d I don't have much drag race gearing. So I went with 12x46 64p. The car runs very smooth. It ran the best of 8.78 in the 1/8th. I added a little weight and slowed the controller down a bit and am running 9.00 pretty good. local track is doing some index racing with a 9.0 class. Pro tree.
