Racers.

 

Our March round of RMRRA racing will be on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the newly opened  Duffy's Slotcar Racewa in Evans, CO

 

Doors open at 8 AM.

 

Tech for stock car will open at 10 AM and track power will be turned off at 10:15 until all cars are submitted.

 

Qualifying for stock car will start by 10:45.

 

You will qualify in a reverse order of your car being submitted to tech. First car submitted will be the last car to qualify and vice versa.

F1 and Can-Am to follow Stock Car.

 

If you need a loaner, let me know and I will see that you get a loaner to race. I have controllers available to loan too.

Just under 2 weeks away for this race and I wanted to provide some updates.

 

Track phone # now is 970-793-2390. Phone number Paul provided is my cell # which is still a valid contact number as well unless you are from the IRS.

 

Myself, Alan and Steve replaced a few nagging sections of braid last night which should make orange a better driving lane now. We did such a good job that I am excited to braid the oval now, lol.

 

Starting this Sunday and all days leading up to the March 19th race, track time will be complimentary for all racers that will be competing.

 

Parts department is well stocked. I should have a few of each chassis available for sale come raceday.

Quick itinerary for this week leading up to the weekend as well as some add on information.

 

Track practice and test n tune this week (no charge for Saturday racers)

Tuesday 4pm - 9pm

Wednesday  4pm - 9pm

Thursday 4pm - 7pm (LMP racing starts @ 7pm)

Friday Noon - at least 9pm

 

We will clean and glue the track on Wednesday night post track hours. This will allow the LMP race to run the glue in on Thursday and get the track to a prime surface.

 

Braid depth is .015" - .020"

 

This last week we have been successfully running JK sm. hub wonder on both Stockcar and CanAm in testing. I had good results with Thunder medium on my Stockcar in testing yesterday. That has been with a very rubbered up track that has 3 weeks of racing on it. It may or may not change for Saturday. If in doubt, treated has worked great on everything, but we are definitely right at the verge of wonder. We have tires, lots of tires, 400+ pairs and counting to be exact. Whatever you need, we will have.

 

If you need parts, tires, etc. set aside, please let me know.

 

If attendance is what I am hearing, this will be a well attended event. We will be bringing in breakfast burritos in the morning and Leslie is making pulled BBQ pork for lunch. There will be a drivers meeting post Stockcar concourse voting that will identify the days events and what to expect and is expected. We have a handful of people traveling 3+ hours to attend and want to make sure we keep the day moving forward on time and organized. That being said we want everyone to be able to enjoy the day to its fullest.

Hey Paul,

 

Would it be alright if I borrow some cars and a controller from you again this Saturday? If not I completely understand. I plan on buying some 1/24th scale stuff once I find a job.

I appreciate that Paul. I'm still working out the details, but I should be riding up with AJ and will get there pretty close to opening time at Duffy's on Saturday. See you then.
