Fellas,

The February meeting of the C.A.R.S. Vintage Slot Car Club will take place next Thursday February 3, 2022 at THE RACE PLACE at 7:30 PM.

As mentioned in an earlier post our main theme will be BRITISH CARS...

We'll also discuss the possibility of a competition event, maybe a single car timed challenge of sorts with all competitors running the same car (vintage type) same controller, same lane with the lowest elapsed time earning bragging rights 'til next time.

NOTE: The Daytona 24 Hr. race runs this weekend opening "speed weeks", check your local T.V. listings.

Fellas,

Some photos from lasts night's "BRITISH CAR" gathering...some of Rodney's collection of British cars on display at the February meeting. Sportscars, Gran Prix cars and a great tiger striped Mini !!!

Aston Martain, BRMs, a Connaught along with a Jaguar some Lolas and Lotuses. A great collection !!!

My collection of British cars and Mikey's HO scale BRG British Sports car, I can't recall the marque. Possibly Mikey will I.D. the car us.

Let me explain the #12 Ford GT Flexi on the right. The First Ford GT was built in Britain, hence my choice of the car for February's meet.

The plans were to run a timed solo event with the members running the GT against the clock one at a time to determine who could run a set number of laps in the shortest time. Bragging rights 'til next time would go to the winner.

Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to run the LapTrax system on my phone. My Bad...we'll try to have it hooked up for next time with a different car, a French car in fact.

Remember, March's Meeting will have "FRENCH CARS" as the main theme.

The BRG HO car is a Bichler Aston Martin on a Tjet.

Thanks for the pictures Pete, looking great! Who's the fat, short, balding guy with the striped button up shirt?
