Sunday, February 20, 2022, Buena Park Raceway. It's time to restart D3 Hardbody Racing after a one month recess due to the Omicron virus.
In the D3 hard body classes can the windows of the cars be made of flexi plastic or must they be hard styrene plastic like the rest of the body? What about the interiors of the cars? Styrene or some type of flexi-plastic? Or even cardboard? And what kind of driver figures are used?
Finally are bodies mounted to the chasses with two sided Velcro or some type of pin arrangement?

For our D3 hardbody racing we allow the use of .007" clear plastic for the windows. We use lexan interiors similar to the ones used for Retro racing.
For body mounting we use pin tubes or as shown in the photos below:
Body mounting slots in brass channel on side of chassis.
1/4" brass angle glued (E6000) to inside of body side panel.
Here are photos of various D3 hardbody cars showing the various body mounting used: https://socald3.smug...hotos/i-sZwbqBL

Oh man! I love that yellow K&K Insurance Plymouth Cuda(?):
Here's the NASCAR K&K Insurance 1974 Dodge Charger for comparison:

Keith
The CanAm cars look to have drivers that are part and parcel of the Lexan molding of the interiors but your NASCAR and other stockers at Buena Park look to have dedicated separate driver figures:

What kind of drivers are they?
And who sells the driver figures and flexi-plastic windshields and Lexan interiors to fit the various stock cars Buena Park hard body racers run?

The lexan or thin plastic driver/interiors are commonly sold at slot car raceways and distributors (Professor Motor, PCH, etc.). The clear thin windshield/window material is available at craft stores (Hobby Lobby, etc.).
