gee, we had vac formed bodies since the middle 60's, at least. that was all we ran.

I second Speedy's comment.

While the Cox mag frame Chapparal 2C may be the quintessential 60's slot car(it is in my opinion) , the vacuformed Classic Manta Ray is acknowledged as the biggest seller.

Mid 60's! That was just yesterday in my book. I'm suspicious of all the newfangled stuff that's appeared since the end of 1965.
