I have a Mark 7 that is exactly the same, even the instruction manual that I got for $15. Is it just 2 excited bidders?

I think the word "clueless" would be a better descriptor than "excited", IMHO.

There were 36 bids made among 9 individuals. One bidder made 17 bids, another 8. So 70& of the bids were made by just two people. One of these had an approval rating of 14. I agree with Mike. :laugh2:

Some people will pay more than is reasonable if it's something they REALLY want.  I'm as guilty of that as the next person.

Hey! Someone payed $3.7 million bucks for a beat-up old '67 Mustang. Value is in the eye of the beholder.

It was above all a mano à mano between two bidders, but a third one put in a bid over $70, which still seems rather excessive for this. As said above...

Yes value is in the eye of the beholder and I would have paid that (if I was rich) for a not beat up but unrestored, the only one, Bullitt Mustang.

Are they from the first year of production with no teeth marks on the barrel? Is so, I’ll start the bidding at $35.
