These seem to be the entry level wing classes, but are they still run? I want to participate the easiest way possible, but reading the rules it sounds like omb and hillbilly require extensive motor attention. Group F and Phoenix sound like spec classes, same tire, motor, gearing. Easy.

I have a slot car friend moving to Phoenix, is there any slot racing besides wing cars?

At Piranha Speedway we are putting together rules for a group F class.
The rules are not yet finished but it looks like the motor will be the USRA group F motor. Even though this motor has a seal on it you will be allowed to rebuild them. No ball bearings in the motor, standard brushes and springs. Likely "spec" tires and your choice on gears.

FYI, this is the motor with the American made arm.

This is preliminary, so don't get upset if things change.

We are looking at Wednesday nite, 7pm start

After talking to Richard at Piranha on Friday we will be running the USRA motor (PS-USRA-SPEC) and you will be able to rebuild it with the same parts that it comes with

PS G7 brushes and PS Red Springs the gearing for this motor that I tested the motor in a wing Car was 11/43 72P now the motor and Car are at the Track

if you wish to take it for a test run it has over 2000 laps on it with no rebuild as of yet still runs high 2.5's all other rules should or will follow Grp F which can be found in the USRA rulebook at
