Events for March 21, 2009

The Slot Car Convention returns to BPR, March 20, 21, 22 (Fri-Sun).

Slot car collectors, vintage slot cars, informal challenge races, drag races, etc.

Friday, March 20, is opening day for the BPR Slot Car Convention.
Arrival day is devoted to setup, pit talk, informal racing, etc.

Saturday, March 21, will be car class displays and judging including people's choice - details to follow.
Drag Strip action starts at 3 PM, all regular Drag classes and a special '60s Bracket class. A Top Time/Top Speed award will be given.

Sunday, time TBA, Kingleman Womp and 1/32 challenge race. Jaildoor Can-Am on the flat track. If time permits, an informal "demo" race of Pittman 196B F1s (3 liter or less F1s) on the flat track will follow the Jaildoor race.

SoCal D3 "Jaildoor" warmup race on the BPR Flat track. This race is part of the Slotcar Convention schedule for Sunday, March 22.

Tentatively, there may also be a "demo" Pittman 196B powered F1 race on the flat track. Chassis/tires/bodies to be similar to those used in the pre '66 days.

The originally scheduled SoCal D3 LeMans Coupe and NASCAR races will not be held due to the Slotcar Convention schedule.
