Nomad Slot Racing
2590 Pioneer Ave #A
Vista, CA 92081-8427
(760) 492-4619
jim@NomadSlotRacing.com
Any 1/32 scale car may be used if it is a reasonably accurate representation of a real car that raced at the 24 hours of LeMans.
Tires may not be visible when viewed from above?
Motor and slot car chassis may not be visable through windows.
Vacuum interiors are permitted.
No cutting of body that reduces detail permitted.
Slighty off-scale cars like Fly Porsche 908s and detailed vacuum-formed bodies like JK Euro series are permitted.
Minimum body weight of 35 grams.
Vacuum-formed bodies are OK but will need added weight. Weight must be attached to body, not chassis.
Tech will weigh bodies, including mounting screws. Underweight bodies will be issued clay ballast and must carry ballast in the body.
No limit on traction magnets.
Metal chassis permitted.
Any “S”, Boxer, “Flat 6”, F1 or FK series motor is permitted. Carrera 1/24 scale motors are permitted.
Each lane has a 6 amp slow blow circuit breaker. If a high amperage draw causes the breaker to trip... “that’s the breaks”.
To add the equipments stress so much a part of endurance racing, power is 21 volts.
There will be no “track” or mechanical calls.
Any parts can be replaced except main chassis and body. Car must be running at end of your hour or will be classified "DNF".
In the spirit of Classic Lemans “run to your car” starts, de-slotted cars will be re-slotted by drivers only, exceptions arranged for limited mobility racers.
NOT MENTIONED BUT ESTABLISHED RULES NO LIMIT ON CONTROLLERS INCLUDING CHOKES AND COAST. The track has XLR plugs but adaptors are available.
