Mike,as you well know, I'm not the best speller. Especially with names. Ok, Jahnn Limpach I believe won (3) three years in a row,in the 80's with this type of car. I was hoping Philippe DeLinspay(?) would have chimed in by now, he wrote the article

You threw me off when you said '80's.

Jan won his 3 Nat's in the '70's, and not in a row.

Paul Pfeiffer is the racer who won 3 in a row, in the '80's.

A friend of mine, Mark Rosenwinkel, is a Nat's historian.

Here's an old sheet he compiled.

Your friend Csaba's car is also in the article. Unfortunately, it stops before you.

Hopefully it will answer all of your questions.

After comparing this to Mike's killer list, I noticed some discrepancy. I have nothing to do with it. I just wish I had a better copy. It's my wish list up to the tripod.
I e
Would go by Mike's list. He's not a world champion for nothing

That's great Mark ... My chassis is similar to the 75 and 81 in the article ... Which of the two motors would you prefer to put on my car?

19/24 is a lot of armature. I'm not a expert on G-7 open class motors. My friend Gordy Root was but,he passed away.
If you're going to run it for fun, any C-12-C-20 would work. It's all based on your ability and $$$. Another thing to keep in mind is, when you get to the championship, it really doesn't matter if the motor makes it to another race. As long as it finished and you won, placed or,showed. You could always make the can/endbell correct and, the rest a fugazi.

I would think it would be easier to find parts for the '75 motor than the '81. What is your intent to do with this car once it's compete?  Are you going to put it on display as a part of history. or do you want to occasionally run it on a race track? If the later, do you have a particular track layout in mind? I have no idea what European part sources might be available. Do you? I might start inquiring on the Slotforum International BBS. They have world-wide memberships & some of them might be of help in procuring parts.

Mike S, my phone just received the photo of your premier cars. Time for a new phone. Thanks, I had them on my other phone and can't retrieve them.
As I said previously, I got a few of this type of chassis 2ond, maybe 3rd hand. The track I raced on allowed any production or, scratch built chassis. But, only G-12 motors and..... The parma wedge dirt track body. We could however use 3/4"H 2"L triangley side dams. It was a great time, I raced for 5 years, it was going on way before that. And then the flexible flyer changed everything. For the worst, IMO.

It just came back to me that the photo was of your (2) two cars and (2) two others. One had circley cutouts. Do you have it?

I was thinking to make the car for a fast wooden track, with high curves. I'd like to complete the car, and mostly to preserve it over time.... I would prefer to use period correct components. I would put it on display and, once per year, I would take it to the annual vintage meeting at my slot club, where I would use it for few (slow) laps. So I would prefer period correct components, but for sure not a single-race motor. What do you think, makes sense?

I bought a koford feather light can. I had trouble finding the endbell. This was in 88-89(?) It was obsolete by then. They come up on eBay a few times a year. They average $60 U.S. & up. I'm with Billnh on the Mura. And, like I said before,a good fugazi arm would be a G-20 with the tag removed. I raced the one I posted like that, only I left the tag on.
As for the body, I'll post what I ran later. I'll ask a few people who raced pro in this area what body they ran.
