There is an update in the Castle link software. It’s supposed to knock the starting voltage down to 2v. There is not a box to adjust it in though.
It automatically resets the ESC and doesn’t show what the settings are. Martin has played around with it and has bumped up the throttle/timing/startup rate to his liking.
He said it makes the car kinda sluggish on the trigger….. he found it works the high end bands of throttle.
If you have an ESC already flashed and plug it into the Castle link, the new program will pop up a box that says “new software is available, do you want to install it?”
If you don’t, all you have to do is X out/close that box and continue to the original program that you can setup the way you want.
The original Martin program is labeled 4.99. The new one is 4.101. It’s already in the latest version of the Castle link.
It's just as easy to put the original program back, too. Save your settings in the Castle link program for easy reprogramming.
