Good to see you back John. This build is a bit more complex than the orange Cheetah. Any idea what the arm shaft dia. is for the motors you're using? I was wondering if there was a piano wire that could be used for drive shafts, such as .039. Did I catch that these motors were 1/43 car items?

Bill, thanks so much!

This chassis' layout is very similar to the Cheetah chassis I built but you are correct, the brass rails differ in diameter and the motors used are different.

For the Alfa, yes, I am using a motor (and can for the drive shaft) sourced from 1/43 scale Carrera cars. The shaft diameter of these motors are 1.5 mm.

As I hope to illustrate in the next episode, the drive shafts are sourced from the armature/shafts of the 'donor' motors whose cans are used to create the drive shaft 'holder' for the final drive of the car.

The motor shaft and the 'drive shaft' are bound together using insulation sourced from speaker wire, also to be shown in the next episode!

Thanks so much for watching, commenting and subscribing, I really appreciate all of your support!

John
