Ernie et al,
The track, "Checkered Flag Raceway" resided in the Portland area and belonged to the late Bob McFarland. Many years ago, when I was traveling to race on the OSCAR circuits, I attended several events at McFarland's track. The track had a good flow to it except for the 'arrowhead' turn leading on to the main straight. The track is now owned by Bill Bostic who lives in Vancouver, WA. The track was modified to add a bit more room at the driver's panel.
Bill came up with the concept of a Bob McFarland Memorial tour which included several tracks in Oregon and Washington. Races were held at these tracks to honor the memory of Bob. One of the stops on the tour was my track, Electron Raceway. Bill came down to race with us. Below is a link to the McFarland race at my track.

Hello all,
In regards to the first question, yes, I am a member of Slotblog. I don't post here often. I have a couple of Facebook pages I work on for our slot car club, and our NASTE.org website. I apologize but I tend to forget about Slotblog. Usually when I do get over here to this site I spend way too much time browsing!
