If my memory serves me correctly, there was a vintage, possibly hand-built car in the Racer Swap Shop a year or two ago. It had a full suspension, and if I remember correctly, a differential on the rear axle. The body may have been a dark color, possibly green.

I think there was another, less unusual car in the listing with it.

Does anyone remember any more details about it, or did anyone possibly save any pictures of it? I didn't think to at the time, but now I wish I had.

And if my memory is a bit funny, like it sometimes is, please feel free to correct any details that I'm remembering incorrectly.

Thanks!

Jason Martin

That car was listed by a guy here on Long Island. I think he was asking $400 for it.

I bought a huge H. O. collection from him. 10K worth.

His name is Kevin and that might help you find it in the swap area here.

Then unbelievably I saw it here.

I think it was somewhere in the midwest like Indiana or something but I don't remember.

How it got there I'll never know.

I think the poster said his friend picked it up at a show for him.

The car was unique and I believe It is the same car.

Just going from memory here.

Try going to the Slotblog Advanced Search, type the word "suspension" into the box, and tell it to search just the Racer Swap Shop forum.

If that doesn't work, try "differential".

Remember to scroll down past the advertisements to get to the actual Slotblog results.

Thank you both.

Yes, Joe, that does sound like the right car. Unfortunately, though, that Facebook page is going to be extremely time-consuming to look through. It appears to be a very active page, and I went back what I'm guessing was a couple hundred pictures, and didn't even make it out of December. Going back a year or so is going to take awhile.

Pablo, I didn't realize the advanced search function was available, thank you! It should be very useful in  the future. Unfortunately, the Racer Swap Shop posts get taken down at some point, I believe often fairly soon after they're listed as sold, and there are only half a dozen pages, and only goes back about fifteen months.

I've tried Googling it, but haven't been able to come up with anything using keywords that I can think of. I was hoping that someone on here might have saved the pictures of it.

I think you may be looking for an Ulrich car.

I have not found the one you are looking for but search ulrich and see if that helps.

Thanks, both of you. I saw the Ulrich suspension stuff when I was looking before I posted this, but I don't think that's what this car was, at least from my memory.

Martin,
I had responded to the advertisement that you are referring to. I've just gone through, what I believe to be ,all of my messages ,to no avail. If, and it's a big if, I remember correctly, they were made by a machinest friend of the seller. Ahhh!! Now I remember!!! My inquiry was in reference to weather or not one of them had a torsion bar suspension.
Unfortunately, I have a bad/good habit of doing stress analysis on my phones by throwing them at the wall. The inquiry was about 3-5 phones ago. I'll check some other places where it might be hiding.
