I have collected most of the factory Dynamic cars. The one that has eluded me for decades was this Ferrari 330/P4.

Seen here in the flyer.

Finally one came up and I bid a fair amount but lost. It had some issues in that the body had multiple splits and the biggest of which was at the right front fender. Its mounting holes were also torn out and a chunk missing on the right side.

I mainly wanted it to get a color match, it is a metallic red and hard to capture in pics so I wanted the body in front of me.

Here is the period flyer and a before (P4) pic as it was seen on the auction.

Notice the droparm in the flyer has the axle mount separate (bolted) on the drop arm. This one and some I have seen and have saved pics of over the years have the one piece Dynaflex casting as used on the Super Bandit.

Maybe they came both ways?

There is one in the box at the LASCM, love to see what that one has for a drop arm.

I fixed the splits and cracks, replace the missing chunk took the twist out and gave it a polish. Finally got one with a lot of generosity from a friend. Thank You Mark.

It's not mint but I am super happy to have it. Love the story that goes with it.

Having trouble adding pics of finished car will add later.

Had to put the pics of the restored car in post #2. Here they are. Notice it has the one pieces axle casting. Would be great to see if anyone has an original car with the bolt on. Did they indeed come both ways?

I have a small stash of Dynamic parts at your service. Whatever I have you need, is yours.

Those axle carriers look like the ones that have springs. I have a new set of those springs.

I am here for you

WOW, talk about a little help from friends, thanks so much Pablo. :D

What I am thinking about is putting the proper number 1 decals on this car seen here.

I am always looking for Dynamic gears. Hard to find but make for originality.

Always good to hear from you.

Glad to hear you had fun with it. Took a couple of years (?) to find it but, I'm tenacious by nature.
What is the gear supposed to look like?

The one for this car is an black inline gear with a silver edge.

Like to find a source for those tiny axle nuts too.

Who amongst us makes decals? ..... and should it get a painted  interior with driver ?

This pic is for Lee. It is in its box on display at the LASCM. I have not seen another.

I surfed around at Professor Motor and found these:

Mark's Models MRK2403 1/24 Decals - Ford GT40 Mk II 1967 Daytona (professormotor.com)

I don't think the number 1 was used on P4 Ferraris that I've seen anyway.

You may want to look at indycals:

Here is my nut collection. Mi casa es su casa:

I have some freaky crowns but none are marked "Dynamic":

For clarification purposes these are the crowns that Martin is referring to, they are matt black painted, cast aluminium with the outer edge ground back to bare metal.

That's a good example of a normal crown gear being forced to run with an offset motor. Those teeth are really mangled.

Thanks Pablo for the links, those decals are really close. I think the Dynamic nuts are smaller and the gear is just like (thanks Lee) like the one Lee posted. Only without the damage, and like Dave suggest if they were run off center and with the added Dyna-flex miss alignment, they may all be damaged.

Don't stop until you've taken it farther than humanly possible. And then,go just a little farther.
Of course you should have a #1 on it.

Lee, I am pretty sure I see an inline gear and a big lump of a GE motor. It maybe a case of,I am seeing what I want to see?

But I thought this body was only ever used on the inline RTR GE P4 car?

Anybody out there have a boxed car, or is it that rare?

Anybody going to the LASCM any time soon?

These are the decals that are shown on the P4 flyer, but do not know if they ever came in the box with the GE RTR P4 car?

I do think that looks like its probably the GE inline in there Martin but I couldn't be 100% & that box is usually reserved for the floppy, brass anglewinder cars and the printed writing on the end flaps states that & it doesn't look like any attempt to cover the anglewinder spec has been made. If anyone has another boxed car or even a better photo of the LASCM car/box? clarification would be appreciated.

The nuts are really tiny like this. 1/16'' thick X 3/16'' across the flats from memory.

Thanks for that Lee, would the LASCM put the GE car in the (wrong) sidewinder box?

If that is not the correct box, what other choice did Dynamic have?

But there has to be a SB member here that had or has one of these RTR P4 GE cars, right?

Alright, too many questions  :shok:

Just noticed your Charger box says GE powered also 4 wheeled suspension on the box top. So not the same box as the brass cars?

This would be the same box sold for the P4 car with a different stick-on label one would surmise?

Would LASCM use incorrect box 🤷🏻‍♂️ but if Dynamic did use the anglewinder box I would have thought they would cover the brass anglewinder blurb on the box end with a sticker or something? As I pointed out on the other Dynamic thread, GE powered Dodge Charger just used the GE rolling chassis box with an added sticker stating that it was a Charger rtr car.

This is how all those boxes are printed as far as I know or was there another version? McLaren box shown.

Lee, so you are saying the Charger came in the smaller box ( rolling chassis box ) and the brass cars came in a much bigger box shown at the LASCM

I see that now.

Thanks for pointing that out. :good:

That's Great, thanks Lee.

You would think this chassis/Charger box you show would be the logical choice for the P4 and I thought the brass cars came latter in production?

There may of been some overlap as the cast RTRs were being fazed out , I would think?

....and as you correctly pointed out the print on the box does seem to be the same in the number of words anyway.

Iz it possible that some cast frame inline RTRs were sold after the anglewinder revolution in order to get rid of obsolete product and put into whatever box that they fit in?

Absolutely possible Paul and Rehco were selling the cast frames off for years after, but I would expect the description on the box of a brass, floppy pan, anglewinder chassis to at least be redacted with marker pen or covered with a sticker if it had come from Dynamic in that box.

I know exactly which nuts you are talking about. Professor Motor used to sell them.

I just don't have any to spare. If I did I would share with you.
